Early in the morning, mist rises from the water while the only sounds are birds and reeds moving in the breeze. It is the perfect setting to combine nature, relaxation and sport fishing during your holiday in France.
Popular fishing lakes in the Allier region
At Lac de Rochebut, as well as near Marcillat and Saint Gervais d’Auvergne, anglers often spend hours along the banks waiting for carp, perch or pike. These lakes in central France are known for their deeper central zones and richly vegetated shorelines, making them attractive for experienced fishermen as well as beginners.
Whether you enjoy carp fishing in France, predator fishing in the Allier, or simply relaxing by the water, the region around Domaine Bonneblond offers diverse opportunities. Some lakes are hidden in wooded valleys, others open onto wide rural landscapes, offering spectacular views and peaceful surroundings.
Our private fishing lake at Domaine Bonneblond
What makes Domaine Bonneblond unique as a fishing campsite in France is our own private lake on site. Along the edge stands a wooden fishing deck where children and adults spend hours throughout the summer. With a fishing rod in one hand and a landing net in the other, it is a true family fishing experience.
The water flows gently through the lake, keeping it fresh and lively. Among the aquatic plants and shaded areas, many catfish can be found. Last summer, there were stories of a young girl catching forty catfish in one day. Whether it was exactly forty or not, one thing is certain: fishing at Domaine Bonneblond is unforgettable.
For guests searching for a family friendly campsite with fishing in France, this is a wonderful place to introduce children to angling in a safe and natural environment.
Fishing permits in France
If you plan to fish in public waters in the Allier region, you will need a French fishing permit, known as a carte de pêche, issued by the national angling federation or a local fishing association.
At the private fishing lake of Domaine Bonneblond, no fishing permit is required. All you need is a rod. And if you happen to forget yours during your holiday in France, do not worry. We always have spare fishing rods available at our nature campsite in the Allier.
Whether you are looking for luxury camping in France, a peaceful fishing holiday, or a family nature retreat, Domaine Bonneblond combines relaxation, outdoor living and fishing in one unique destination.
